How to make a deeper lid for the Octogan Exploding box - Kims' technique
Items required:
  • Exploding Octogan  Template
  • Ruler
  • pencil
  • Scissors / knife

Draw around the template as normal.
Mark the lid as usual including marking the dots.
Use the width of the ruler to extend the size of the lid 1 ruler thickness.
 Lid Step 1
Mark straight lines through each pair of dots to create wider 'tag' pieces.
Cut down one side of each 'V' and crease the other side.
Use the ruler to score from dot to dot. to create the shape of the lid.
Fold the tabs down and glue each V inside each adjacent Tab.
